The objects of the Club shall be:
 | To urge members and breeders to accept the | |
| Standard of their breed as submitted by the Breed Clubs and approved by the American Kennel Club and/or the Federation Cynologique Internationale as the standard of excellence by which a breed shall be judged; | ||
| To do all in its power to protect and advance | |
| the interests of all breeds (with emphasis on the sighthound) by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, fun matches, obedience and/or field trials; | ||
| To conduct sanctioned matches, All Breed | |
| shows, Sighthound Specialty shows/matches, obedience and/or field trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club, the States Kennel Club, the American Sighthound Field Association and/or the National Open Field Coursing Association, as required by the Membership. |
